Our Advisory Council
Our Advisory Council
Introduction
Our grant-making is guided by a Council of leading specialists in their fields, including a number of Fellows. Their expertise and standing are vital to the success of the Fellowship.
Council members help us to identify emerging trends and needs in society, around which we develop our range of current Fellowship programmes.
They form the nucleus of specialist Working Groups, which include Fellows and other experts, to help us design these programmes and oversee their progress. We currently have Working Groups for arts and culture, children in care, economy and enterprise, environment and technology.
Council members lead on the selection of new Fellows. They also support Fellows through reaching out to their professional sectors, to promote Fellows’ work and ideas and to assist Fellows with networks and opportunities.
"Speaking for all of us on the Council, playing our part in finding, selecting and supporting Fellows in their work is a privilege and joy." - Lucy Parker, Chair of the Advisory Council
