Promoting lifelong health
Promoting lifelong health
Introduction
In 2024 we will open for Fellowship applications focused on "Promoting lifelong health: addressing long-term health conditions from conception to end of life".
A Fellowship funds you to spend 4-8 weeks meeting and learning from leading innovators in your field around the world in order to share and implement that learning in the UK.
In this programme, we are seeking applications on any topic dedicated to supporting individuals living with long-term health conditions through community-based interventions or healthcare services. More information is below and you can sign up for application alerts by email here.
Please share information about Fellowships by sharing and downloading this pdf.
Applications for 2024 open from 4 September to midday (12pm) on 12 November.
Our focus encompasses social determinants* and factors influencing health equity* for all. We welcome initiatives from across the UK that address any stage of the lifespan from conception to the end of life, aligning with primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention approaches**.
We encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds spanning individuals with firsthand experience of long-term health conditions, community-based organisers, healthcare professionals, urban planners, policymakers and beyond. Our goal is to cultivate a diverse cohort of Fellows, fostering multidimensional perspectives to address health disparities and who together will drive positive change, advancing equitable outcomes for all.
*Social determinants and health equity as defined by the WHO.
**Three pillars of prevention.
