Tech for all
Tech for all
Introduction
In 2023, we launched a three-year programme of Fellowships focused on Tech for All.
A Fellowship funds you to spend 4-8 weeks meeting and learning from leading innovators in your field around the world in order to share and implement that learning in the UK.
In this programme, we are seeking applications that explore technology’s potential to work better for everyone. This may be through technical, policy, social, business or other solutions. More information is below and you can sign up for application alerts by email here.
Please share information about Fellowships by sharing and downloading this pdf.
Applications for 2024 open from 4 September until midday (12pm) on 12 November.
We are particularly interested in projects that explore any of the following:
- Innovative approaches to meeting individual or societal requirements at the moment of need, through the design, development and creation of smart, personalised and assistive technologies.
- Solutions to making new and existing technologies easier to use and understand.
- Approaches to tackling the different barriers people face in accessing, acquiring and engaging with technologies.
- Initiatives that aim to strengthen protections and privacy.
We will prioritise projects that explore collaborative, user-centred approaches and that facilitate greater co-creation between designers and end users.
Fellows in this programme form part of a dedicated community specialising in this area, with tailored opportunities for support and networking in this field.
This programme is guided by our Technology Working Group of Fellows and other experts in this field.
Fellows awarded in previous years have carried out projects in this area. See some examples of their impact stories here.
We recognise our responsibility to the environment through our Fellowship programme and our operations. Our progress on this is explained here.
