I am a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital in London with a special interest in craniofacial surgery and complex reconstruction of the face.
Facial deformity can have a profound effect on those who suffer from it and those around them. In 2015 I had the privilege of being a Churchill Fellow, where I travelled to France, Holland and Japan to learn about various techniques of treating facial deformity. I find that performing surgery to give someone their face back is a truly rewarding and fascinating pursuit.
Since my Fellowship I have widened my practice to treat people who require facial reconstructions after tumours and trauma in addition to facial deformity. I am involved in research which aims to optimise the facial reconstructive surgery process to give patients the best possible results.
I have set up a craniofacial clinic at the Royal Free Hospital to deal with complex facial reconstructions. I hope to grow this clinic so that as many patients as possible can benefit from the latest technological advances in facial reconstruction.
