Biography
I am researching the equitable remaking of the financial system on the basis of finance as a human right. I am a non-executive director, angel investor and venture fund capital allocation consultant, and have been awarded a Fellowship to visit Australia, South Asia and South East Asia to research the right to equitable access to finance.
As a career banker turned early stage start-up investor, specialising in gender lens and climate teams and technologies, I believe that the current financial system is no longer fit for purpose and financiers and investors must make space to successfully deal with the changing requirements of capital (finance) to support people and the planet.
This Fellowship enables me to explore a more robust framing of 'finance for all' across the spectrum of financial products - for example debt, lending and investments - to focus on the fair allocation of risks and rewards. The aim is to create framework(s) and highlight case studies where the financial system works in service to people and the planet.
