Biography
I am the Founder and CEO of Our Second Home, the UK's youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. At a time when loneliness and polarisation are on the rise, I am looking at whether meaningful volunteering opportunities for young people improve social cohesion, and how to bring different opportunities together across a city. I had my life changed by being a peer youth leader 17 years ago, and have since supported thousands of others to unlock their potential through programmes I've led.
I'll develop a toolkit of ideas and methodologies for policymakers, funders, charities and social entrepreneurs who want to help answer the most urgent problems facing Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
