I am the founder, and Executive Chairman, of the UK's broadcast TV channel Together TV, and also founder of the UK's leading communications charity, the Media Trust, where I was CEO until 2016.
I'm passionate about media for social change, and my Fellowship was to research what I call impact media, in the USA, India and Sri Lanka, to strengthen both finance and governance of impact media, and enable both existing and new social impact media platforms to thrive and flourish. I have also recently founded a global network for founders of charities and social enterprises, to support, resource and promote founders – please do sign up to my newsletter to hear about inspirational founders, including those working in media (www.socialfounder.org).
I'm highlighting founders of social impact media platforms around the world, and running events and seminars based on my learnings. I'm also building a network of people working in the field of impact media – so do contact me if you are interested in this area.
My Fellowship was a unique and amazing opportunity – I can't thank the Fellowship enough, and hope you enjoy reading my report.
