Since 2018 I have proudly represented Great Britain as a Paralympic rower and in 2021 I became Paralympic Champion as part of the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four event in Tokyo 2020. Alongside full-time training I completed a MSc in Gender, Policy and Inequalities at the LSE School of Gender and was appointed trustee of British Rowing's Charitable Foundation, Love Rowing. Over this period I have also enjoyed volunteering for organisations across the sport and refugee sector.

The aim of my Fellowship is to enhance inclusion and build community through the Mixed Ability (MA) sport model in rowing. Ultimately, I hope to champion a more inclusive and welcoming approach to non-competitive rowing.

Mixed Ability sport, which I was first introduced to in 2018, is an inclusive approach to sports participation that welcomes individuals of all abilities, backgrounds and ages to participate together on an equal footing. Through learning overseas from sports delivering MA activities I hope to support the development of a larger MA rowing provision in the UK. The main topics that I intend to focus on are inclusive sports, mixed ability model, diversity and community building.
