Biography
I currently work in the homeless sector as a department head of sport and health. My career over the last five years has been focused on implementing and embedding physical activity as a core offering within homeless settings as a way to improve quality of life. This is a topic I hold close to my heart, having seen the barriers those experiencing homelessness face, accompanied by preventable deaths. I feel strongly about creating equal access and treating everyone as a human being.
My Fellowship is about finding methods to create a sustainable offer that surpasses grants and initial funding opportunities. The purpose of this Fellowship is to research and learn best practices from other organisations to shape the future of our work. I hope to embed these learnings across the homeless sector and use events and reports to highlight these findings within the homeless community and wider sector to encourage long-term change.
