I am a chartered architect with experience in the historic built environment, now working as a design manager for Kier Construction.
I am passionate about creating places that reflect today's society and current values, and preserve and celebrate the heritage of the building's context, while also embracing new technologies to create a more sustainable environment for future generations.
As an advocate for promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in construction, I am one of the Vice-chairs for the newly established Built Environment Changemakers – a group of early career professionals who aim to promote the development of new skills, competencies and opportunities in the sector to inspire the future workforce.
My Fellowship investigates ongoing initiatives promoting women in Sweden's construction sector, as well as documenting barriers women have faced and gateways they have encountered during the Covid-19 pandemic. I believe Covid-19 is the catalyst we need to transform the current face of construction to not only 'build back better' but more importantly, to 'build back EQUAL'.
