I am a principal data scientist with experience working on BAFTA award-winning video games, as well as in industries such as e-commerce and publishing. My Fellowship focuses on widening access to skill development and education in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

My interest in this subject stemmed from taking a non-traditional route into the field and by upskilling through a combination of distance learning, short courses and vocational opportunities. Through this route, I identified opportunities to widen access, allowing more individuals and communities in the UK to use these technologies.

I hope to develop an understanding of how to improve pathways into the field and address the skills gap the UK is currently facing in this area.
