Biography
I'm the Founder of Act with Purpose, a community of leaders reimagining how organisations serve society. I grew up on mainland Britain's most northerly point, closer to the International Space Station than to Scotland's centres of power, where I saw how rural communities can be left behind when institutions fail them.
My Fellowship takes me to Germany, Denmark, and Norway to study how these countries have redesigned the relationship between energy investment and local communities, and what the UK can learn. I'm driven by the conviction that the energy transition is a once-in-a-generation chance to rebalance wealth in places that have long seen value extracted rather than retained. I want to bring back systemic models that turn community benefit funds from fragmented short-term pots into lasting, strategic investments.
