Biography

I am a freelance strategist, campaigner and coalition builder. I work across sectors and scales to unlock the commitment and action needed to unlock a better-connected, less lonely world. I'm convinced that a key to a fairer, more equitable future lies in creating the conditions for good relationships across all aspects of our shared lives.

In 2020 I researched the role of greater collective action in building a relationship-centred world and published a blueprint for an 'infrastructure for relationships' in the report Through Thick And Thin, funded by a Paul Hamlyn Ideas and Pioneers award. Alongside this, I am a founding member of Stewarding Loss which supports non-profits to consider loss and ending as part of the everyday life of a healthy organisation. I am also a trustee for the Rural Coffee Caravan, and creator of the national network of Freelancers Who Get S**t Done.

In 2016 I set up the Jo Cox Foundation in memory of my friend Jo Cox MP and before that I worked for Save the Children and in the Calais 'jungle' camp for Safe Passage.

As a 2020 Churchill Fellow my travel plans are on hold, but when possible I look forward to exploring intergenerational social activities in rural communities.
