Biography
I am a content creator and activist based near London. I developed acne aged nine and after I began sharing my story online under the alias @spottylittlething I became aware of how global the impact of dealing with a visible difference is. I've shared my story through various media outlets including BBC Southeast (television), BBC Radio Kent (radio), Channel 4 (online), Metro (article and interview) and Pinterest (panel discussion). Previously, I presented the Wednesday Breakfast, Friday Drive Time and Sunday Lunch shows for West Kent Radio and have written for magazines across the world.
Alongside work on my social platforms supporting those with skin conditions and visible differences, I am a campaigner for the charity Changing Faces and the founder of Spotty Girl Summer, a group which facilitates regular in-person events to boost individuals' self-esteem and confidence.
The purpose of my Fellowship is to create a documentary, podcast and series of educational resources following research on remarkable individuals in the USA, Czech Republic, Milan and India. This will be delivered to schools across the country and in the long term I aim to enact policy and social reform.
