Biography

I am a research nurse and Programme Manager of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded programme grant for a person-centred NICHE (Needs Informed model of Care for people with HIV) based at University College London.

My 2013 Fellowship was aimed at improving access to HIV services for people living with HIV in minoritised racial communities. I travelled to Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa to look at how different countries engage populations with care.

I have an extensive background in HIV care and HIV research. Since my Fellowship I have completed my PhD and I continue to work in an academic and clinical capacity. I have presented the findings of my Fellowship at the National HIV Nurses conference and I have worked closely with other nurses to successfully apply for their own Fellowships.

My Fellowship was in incredible opportunity to undertake my own research, form links with colleagues abroad and gain a wider understanding of HIV care internationally.
