Biography
I am a dental surgeon and healthcare leader with a particular interest in improving health outcomes for people who have experience of the criminal justice system. My Fellowship will explore how different countries support people leaving prison to access healthcare, recover from illness, and successfully reintegrate into their communities.
I am driven by a belief that justice involvement should not be a lifelong barrier to good health. Through my clinical work, leadership roles, and personal experience, I have seen how unmet health needs, stigma, digital exclusion, and difficulties navigating services can prevent people from getting the support they need at critical points in their lives.
My aim is to bring practical lessons back to the UK that can improve healthcare access, support rehabilitation, and reduce inequalities for people rebuilding their lives after prison.
