Biography
I am passionate about creating more connected, resilient, and equitable communities through dance, creativity, and the arts. Throughout my career, I have championed the power of culture to bring people together, strengthen belonging, and create opportunities for those too often overlooked or underestimated.
Equally inspired by people and places, I am interested in how creative practice can transform communities and the spaces they inhabit. As a lifelong dancer and creative leader, movement has shaped my understanding of connection, collaboration, and collective wellbeing. For over 28 years, I have worked across leadership and creative roles in the cultural sector, including as CEO of East London Dance, Founding Producer of Breakin' Convention, and Creative Director of MOVE IT.
I am a dancer by nature and a changemaker at heart, and my Fellowship explores how dance and the arts can help create stronger, more connected communities and the conditions for people and places to thrive. I am particularly interested in how creative participation can foster trust, wellbeing, civic pride, and a greater sense of belonging.
