Understanding approaches to teaching consent in sex education in schools
2018
London
I'm currently working for Alzheimer's Society as a writer for the fundraising team. I also work as a freelance theatre critic.
The purpose of my Fellowship was to learn how sex education is being taught and talked about in various countries, in the hope of finding out how to do so better here in the UK.
As a result of the Fellowship, I've written about sex education and sexual assault for multiple publications and I'm hoping to turn what I've learnt into a much bigger piece of writing over the next few years. The Fellowship had a huge impact on my understanding of sex education and opened my eyes to possibilities for radical change.
