Biography

I am the Policy Manager for Equally Safe at the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA), working across national and local government to prevent violence against women and girls. My Fellowship focuses on digitally driven misogyny and the youth-led, community-based and system-level approaches that can disrupt it. Its purpose is to learn from practice in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and to understand how policy, services and local systems can work with young people and communities to prevent harm before it escalates.

I'm motivated by a background in community development, equalities and human rights, and by a belief that prevention is strongest when shaped with those most affected. I hope to bring back practical insight, international evidence and collaborative models that can help Scotland build a more coherent, sustainable and community-led response to digitally driven misogyny, improving safety, equality and opportunities for women, children and young people.
