Biography
As a regenerative farming advisor running my own independent business, I am focused on helping farmers reduce their reliance on artificial nitrogen fertilisers by adopting more holistic and biologically driven plant nutrition strategies. The greatest barrier many farmers face in transitioning to regenerative systems is the concern that crop yields will fall if nitrogen inputs are reduced. Yet we know that synthetic nitrogen not only raises production costs, but also significantly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, degrades soil structure and diminishes long-term organic matter levels.
I aim to investigate how some of the world's most progressive agronomists, advisors and testing services are supporting farmers to successfully reduce nitrogen use at scale - without compromising yield. By learning from these pioneers, I will be able to bring cutting-edge strategies and practical tools back to UK farms, helping deliver more resilient, profitable and environmentally responsible food systems.
