Biography
I am a doctoral researcher in education at the University of Cambridge and a former primary and secondary school teacher with over 10 years of experience in education. My Fellowship explores how teachers navigate identity, belonging, and professional life across different educational contexts.
Through my PhD, I have been researching how teachers understand themselves and their work within contemporary schooling. This has led me to explore how educators working in different social, cultural, and historical contexts experience professional identity, intercultural practice, and educational responsibility.
During my Fellowship, I will spend time with teachers, school leaders, and educational institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, and Malaysia. I hope to learn with educators in these contexts, exploring both shared and distinct experiences. By bringing these conversations into dialogue with my research in the UK, I hope to contribute to wider discussions about teacher development, inclusion, and educational practice across different contexts.
