I am an award-winning and internationally recognised social innovator who was listed as one of the UK's Top 50 New Radicals by Nesta and the Guardian in 2016. I have over 20 years' experience in social innovation and social enterprise and I am an expert in corporate social innovation. I am passionate about collaboration and co-creation supporting communities and organisations 'hack their world for good'.
I have researched and written extensively about social innovation, writing the social innovation strategy and sustainable shared-value reports for Matrix (Northern Ireland Science and Industry Panel) at the Department for the Economy (NI), and contributing to innovation foresight reports for national UK government departments. I have also written articles for aPolitical (UK) and Boom Impact (Australia) on the impact of social purpose in business.
Over the last ten years my work has been recognised by my peers and I have also been accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and awarded a Clore Social Fellowship and Churchill Fellowship researching social innovation in Brazil and the USA, culminating in the design and launch of the award-winning Book Reserve social tech enterprise.
