Biography
I am a mum of three great boys and the Founding Director of Learning Academies Ltd, a company that provides effective, high-quality extra tuition for children and young people – including those that are no longer able to access mainstream education.
Having completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education, I worked as a primary school teacher before taking up my Fellowship in North America, researching international approaches to drugs and health education for young people. My Fellowship was a great personal development opportunity and much of my work since then has been inspired and informed by that opportunity.
I am a keen amateur photographer. I love kayaking, camping, exploring, travelling and writing and I've always enjoyed linking up with other Churchill Fellows. The Fellowship has been such a positive force in my life and it gave me a huge dose of self-belief at a time when I needed it most. I am always open to new ideas and I am happy to support others who are beginning their journey.
