I am the Founder and CEO of Youth Realities, a survivor-led charity supporting young people impacted by relationship abuse and violence. My Fellowship will take me to communities across the USA that have implemented, engaged in and researched interventions to address and end teenage relationship abuse, utilising a range of methodologies across a five-year period, each producing positive outcomes.
Teenage relationship abuse and the required interventions are a substantially under-researched issue area in the UK.
I aim to use my Fellowship findings to establish a strategic national framework to address abuse that learns from the USA but is reflective of fundamental UK contexts of harm. I specialise in this through my current work, an MA in Women and Child Abuse and my own lived experience as a young survivor of relationship abuse.
