July 2024 Fellows' update: Ceinwen Giles

Shine Cancer Support, co-led by Ceinwen Giles (CF 2013), has launched a podcast – Not Your Grandma's Cancer Show – with new episodes released every month. In addition to the regular schedule, a special bonus episode on cancer in your 20s was produced with support from the Activate Fund. Listen to the episode here.

The Activate funding also helped pilot Shine’s new Reset Programme for people in their 20s (up to age 28) who have had cancer.

The programme, which will now run twice a year, supports young adults transitioning from teenage cancer services to adult services and provides a space for participants to gain support, meet one another, and hear how others are coping with issues such as mental health, identity, and anxiety.
